Skippers and Happy Hour; S06 E05

The last few months of 2016 limped past, and 2017 staggered in the door drunk. At least we have a podcast episode to truly celebrate the sort of inebriation that was needed to handle the last 3 months.
We are joined by the hosts of the WDW Happy Hour podcast in a cross polination of our shows, and also because Katherine and Matt are two fun guys who I really enjoyed chatting with. They were big supporters of the Jungle Crews podcast last year, and I wanted our audience to get to know them a little bit. We chat Disney remake movies, WDW vs Disneyland, and of course the best places to eat and drink at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Lots of good fun, and an enjoyable 2 part episode. 
We are off on Feb 3-5th to Walt Disney World for a big Skipper Gathering of East coast and West coast Skips! We promise to bring back a lot of fun audio and video for you!

RERUN: Jungle Crews Radio Play XMas Episode

So, if you are new-ish to the Podcast, this might confuse you without a little explanation. 
One of my favorite parts of the podcast was the 8 episode "Radio Plays" that we produced. Featuring the adventures of Skipper Gary London and his co-pilot Skippy, these shows have been fan favorites from the start of the series. They were our little look into a fictional Jungle universe, and our tribute to the Jungle Cruise. This episode is our last Radio Play, and the Christmas Episode based loosely on a story that we all know and love. Every year I make sure we re-post it around the holiday season, as our little love letter to the lost adventures of Gary London. I know he's out there somewhere, on the River, probably hip deep in egg nog and cheap scotch. Merry Christmas, Gary and Skippy!
And a very Merry Christmas to you all!

New episodes have returned! This week we sit down with Skipper David Marley, author of the new book "Skipper Stories" to chat about what he learned during his time writing the book about the history of the Jungle and those who have dared to adventure on it. His book is available here, from Amazon.

RERUN: Our Buddy, Skipper George S03 E16

Hey Adventurers! Did we just have a huge gap in episodes? Yep, we did, and here's why...
You may have noticed our 60 day absence on new episodes. This was, sadly, not a coincidence. We had a C&D notice given to us on Sept 2nd, and we had to legally not publish any new episodes or content while we sorted out the issues with the plaintiff. There's a couple of episodes that have been "corrected", but it's not something that legally we can discuss. So, there ya go. We are still making podcasts, but we had a real stretch of having a hard time getting interviews lined up while we were working on the C&D and the Kickstarter game. We're in the process of setting up a couple of interviews, and should have things back up soon. In the meantime, we can start doing re-runs again. Thanks for your patience about this. It wasn't something we could comment on until the waiting period was resolved.
So, here's an episode I really like. Skipper George Trullinger is, hands done, one of the nicest guys that has ever been a Skipper. I was so happy he took an hour away from his family during a Disneyland trip to sit down with us. We were also super excited that Skipper Fred Eich was in the area, and decided to sit down with us and share his stories too. This is a favorite, and a good way for us to get back into the swing of things.

Wooh Golly! What a couple of weeks we have had. Our Kickstarter is off and running, and we are well on our way to funding. Today's interview is with Skipper Matt Gambino. Matt turned his Jungle Cruise experience at WDW in the early 90's into a launchpad for his career, and he has some great insights about the college program and working Jungle. We had a super fun time chatting, and it's always great learning more about our East Coast cousins.
