It's our off-week again, and this week I wanted to go back and revisit one of the most fun episodes I had the chance to tape. Skipper Matt Nerrie was the perpetual "Boy of Summer" during the time I was at Jungle in the early 00's, and besides being an incredibly charming and fun interview, he's also recently(ish) become a father. I was going through some old episodes deciding what to put up this week, and listening to the first few minutes really brought home to me how much fun I was having with the podcast 2 years ago. (I still am, it was just good nostalgia...) So, next week is a huge episode for us, so stay tuned for the biggest surprise we could give you... Hey, everyone... So, the good news is that we've started building up a decent catalog of recorded episodes, and for this week we're putting up a new episode instead of our every-other week re-run. We're rejoining the second half of our interview with Skipper Kerry Iannazzo, and rejoin his history of working at Disneyland from 1976 to 1985.Next week we'll have a re-run, but the week after that, we've got a very special treat in store, so stay tuned.Skipper Kyle

When I started sitting down with my friends and recording our Jungle stories, I never imagined I would some day venture back to the 1970's and hear stories of Disneyland around the Bicentennial and going into the early 80's. This week's episode is the first of two episodes with Skipper Kerry Iannazzo, who graced the docks from 1976-1985. When speaking with all of the other early 80's Skips, every one of them told me I needed to talk to Kerry. Not only does he have a great way with telling stories, but he just is an incredibly nice guy who I would have loved to have worked with. 30 years after he has left the park, and nearly 40 years after he hired in, this guy still has the Jungle Water flowing through his veins. Hey everyone! In between our twice monthly new episodes, we like to republish an older episode to feature interviews that might be buried a little deeper in our catalog. This one was a lot of fun. Skipper Jeff Rhoads and I chat the late 70's and early 80's at Disneyland, as well as the opening of Tokyo Disneyland. He is one of those people who knew everyone at the time, and his memory for things that happened 40 years ago is better than my memory of what happened 40 days ago. So, this morning, much to my surprise, we had a lovely shout-out to our podcast on The Nerdist podcast. They had been asking for events to promote, and as a 4+ year fan of the show, I never expected to have them pick our podcast for their first Events shout-outs. So, after gratefully thanking Chris and Kyle for the promotion, I realized that the last 2 episodes weren't going to be very accessible to new listeners. So, here's a rush-bonus episode with a new intro, just for all of our new listeners. We've been doing this for 90 episodes, and we have a ton of interviews scheduled for this year. Happy Tuesday, everyone! As we said last week, we are going to start re-posting older episodes in the off-weeks in between new episodes. This one is one of my favorites.Skipper Adam Tyler is one of those guys that everyone likes, and that makes me hate him. Hate him with a fiery passion that has helped me think of him as a good friend. He's one of those guys who was always chirpy and positive on the dock, and who was a joy to work with. I drove down to Temecula to sit down with him, and we made the mistake of trying to tape when a motorcycle rally decided to spontaneously erupt. So, lots of fun editing, but stay for the story of how he met his wife in the Jungle, it's worth it all. See you guys in a week with another new episode!

Happy New Year, everyone. 2015 is here, and our Winter Break is over. We're back for another year of Skippertainment, and great podcasts!We start our year out with Skippers Mercedes Cademartori and Kevin Hall. Kevin now has a record with the podcast that may never be beaten. "Most Recently Employed to then Podcast", as he left the company a mere 3 days before this podcast was recorded. We had a great time chatting about all things current, as well as Jingle Cruise and their experiences at Disneyland. It was a great time, and was very much a great way for us to start 2015.
