The Training Buddy, pt 1; S02 E19 (Audio Corrected)
Sunday Oct 27, 2013
Sunday Oct 27, 2013
Hey Guys... When I started doing Skype recording, I didn't realize that it split the audio into left and right channels, or that if it did that it would annoy people. So, we've remastered the audio for these two episodes, and will do the other 4 episodes with the issue soon. In case you missed the intro: Skipper Greg Reilly was my training buddy when I was at Jungle, and this episode has a nice personal connection to me. I like Greg a lot, he's a really stand up guy, and I think it was a nice recording. (and now the audio is corrected and in Mono)Kyle

(Hey everybody... We had a little glitch and we uploaded the uncut version of the episode. We've pulled it down, and reloaded a correctly edited version. Sorry about the second issue... At some point, everybody falls into the river.)Hey everybody! Skipper Gary is back!About a year ago, we decided we wanted to play around in the world of the Jungle Cruise skipper, and that's when Gary London, Skipper, Esquire was born. Gary and his companion and copilot Skippy starred in 5 of their own serialized adventures last year. We kind of thought the world had moved on from their snappy wit and alcohol fueled jokes, but over the last year, we've received a half a dozen emails a month from people who wanted to see them make a return. We've even had contributions to our PayPal link on our page, specifically requesting more JCRP episodes. So, with great fanfare, this week we bring you the return of Gary London, in "Pinata's of the Carribean, Doom Man's Chest" If you haven't experienced the first 5 episodes, it's fine... this is a fairly good stepping off point. Here's the links to all the episodes:Episode 1, The Pinata Of Doom Episode 2, The Doomed Pinata (Remastered Audio)Episode 3, The Pinata Dooms TwiceEpisode 4, Doom on the Pinata ExpressEpisode 5, The Doom with a Pinata TattooWe'd love to hear your thoughts about the Jungle Cruise Radio plays... drop us an Email over at JungleCrews@Gmail.comAnd finally, a little reminder. We have just one more episode left for this year, another Jungle Cruise Radio Play. I have a ton of recording to do with skips, but I have a wedding, a honeymoon, and then I'm going off on a mysterious deep sea diving expedition for the entire month of December. So, we'll be recording a lot of episodes to carry us into the new year, and we'll be re-mastering the sound quality and putting out re-runs all holiday season. But, fear not, new episodes will return, every tuesday, starting in January. Thanks, everyone, for your support, and in return, I give you... a year in the making... The Jungle Crews Radio Players, Joey Hurley, Trevor Kelley, and Skipper Kimberly P present... The Jungle Crews Radio Plays, "Pinata's of the Carribean, Doom Man's Chest"... Kungaloosh, everyone!

Jungle Cruise Radio Play, Pt 2: The Doomed Pinata (REMASTERED)

So, no one can accuse of of really knowing what we are doing with audio quality. Still, I have picked up some tricks over the last 2 years, and I have decided to go back and start re-editing some of the sound in the episodes. It's still not perfect, but it at least is a more consistent audio experience.First up on the re-edits, the 2nd of the Jungle Cruise Radio Plays. With the newly recorded 6th episode coming out on Tuesday, I thought it would be nice to clean up the old Radio Plays first. For those of you who haven't had the chance to listen to them yet, the Jungle Cruise Radio Plays were a 5 episode arc of stories set inside the "world" of the Jungle Cruise. They feature Joey and Trevor of the "Joey and Trevor Talk To Each Other" podcast, and there is a little bit of storyline and plot to them. Not much, it's mainly cheap jokes.Still, it's been our most popular feature, and the most requested thing for us to do more of... So, here's a nicer version of episode 2, and updated versions of 3-5 are coming soon.Skipper Kyle, Esquire.

Hey Adventurekateers, another new episode! Rejoice! We're back for seconds with SueBee and Tim Meltreger, and we get more into the state of affairs for women in the 80's and 90's at Disneyland, as well as more great memories and a more name drops than there have been shot hippos. It's a fun episode, and I know we have a LOT of new listeners, so I hope you all are having fun reliving the memories. Thanks for coming to Tales From The Jungle Crews, the Gold Standard in Jungle Cruise podcasts. (At least I didn't use the term "Skippertainment" this week...)See you all next week with a brand new Jungle Crews Radio Play and the return of Gary London, Skipper, Esquire.(Sorry guys, we had a glitch on the upload of the episode, and this is fixed and the episode is working as it should be. - Kyle)

Tim and Sue's Great Adventure; S03 E05

Wednesday Oct 09, 2013
So, ever since the Jungle Crews project started, I've wanted to have Skipper Sue Barnaby on the show. Sue is kind of a legend among the Westside attractions community. She was always a champion of women's positions at the park, she had a long tenure, and worked in a very wide variety of roles at many attractions. We've been trying to touch bases and sit down for an episode for nearly 18 months.Skipper Tim Meltreger was another "long term project" to get on the show. With all of our busy schedules, how could we find time to sit down for an afternoon and chat about their time at Disneyland? Well, we did, and the result is a very engaging and fun afternoon. I hope you guys enjoy. As always, catch us over at Facebook, and keep passing us along to all your Disney friends. We've seen a big growth in our downloads, and we appreciate every referral.

Part 2 with Skipper Laura is here, and we couldn't be more pleased. This episode has opinions, opinions, and more opinions. It's chock full o' opinions. Reasoned discourse, intelligent conversation, and only a modicum of lewd stories and ribald anecdotes. We continue our adventures back in the mid 90's with this week's Tales From The Jungle Crews. As always, catch us on Facebook, or over on Twitter. Next week we have even more amazing Jungle adventures, so stay tuned.Skipper Kyle

Boobs; Insult to Injury, Pt 1: S03 E03

Monday Sep 23, 2013
We're back... So, in case you're fairly new to the podcast; We try to publish a weekly episode on Tuesday mornings. For something like 14 weeks we had a pretty good run. I've got a few more episodes in the works, and a few recorded now, so hopefully we should be good until the end of October. THEN... I'm getting married on November 2nd, so we're going into a silent mode while I am on honeymoon. I've been told that all my computers and phones stay in California while we are out celebrating our new union and sitting on a warm beach working on our tans. (Because I am so white, I have to tan when the moon comes out, otherwise I burn...)This week we chat with the charming and lovely Miss Skipper Laura. She was at the resort in the middle of the turbulent 90's, and we get a view of what the park was like when the big Eisner changes were taking place. It's a bit more insightful and pointed than we usually get, but variety is the spice of life. We'll have more stories about shooting parrots out of cannons and peeing in the Jungle soon, I am sure.I hope you all enjoy, this was a fun episode. Lots of great and big episodes coming down the pipe soon.Skipper Kyle, Esq

(RERUN) Jungle Crews Radio Play Episode 1
Tuesday Sep 10, 2013
Tuesday Sep 10, 2013
Hey everyone! Sorry to do a re-run on you again, but I just moved apartments, and I wasn't able to tape and edit anything for this week. It's been a crazy fall, and with an upcoming wedding and honeymoon, I might have to do this a few more times. So, about a year ago, I got an itching in my head to present something different. I had always loved the old style radio plays, like The Shadow, and there had been a few other radio plays that had come back on the scene recently. So, I took a few ideas from the Jungle Cruise Comic Book script I had written, and added in a lot of booze references. The result has been one of our most popular features, and one I hope to revisit soon. The key to everyone loving the Radio Plays so much is the great performances by Skippers Joey Hurley and Trevor Kelly of the "Joey and Trevor Talk To Each Other" podcast. These guys really bring Gary London and Skippy to life, and I am always thankful for them for everything they do.We've had a lot of new listeners in the last 6 months, and some of you may not have discovered the Radio Plays. I hope this is a treat for you, as much as it has been for me. Kungaloosh, everyone, see you next week with a new episode. (Crossing fingers)
